While we have been at this kitchen renovation for a while now, we are finally getting to the point were we can really see our hard work paying off. I am doing each wall one at a time in an attempt to keep our kitchen in fully functioning order….not sure if this has been a successful attempt or not, but at least I am trying 🙂
We are redoing the kitchen from top to bottom, and although most of it we are just painting, it is going to look like a brand new room. It has so much built in character that I am able to create a perfect country kitchen on a very small budget.
This is what the window wall looked like when I started (note the beadboard ceiling that we installed but didn’t finish. Still need to be strapped in 4×4 sections and painted…..
Once I painted the orange trim, valance and baseboards white, the whole wall brightened right up!
This morning I got three coats of the sage wall paint on. YEAH!! I was so excited with the outcome. The room really started to come to life. Once we get the white wainscotting up, it should be the kitchen of my dreams…..well my dreams on a budget of course 🙂
Now I need to move on to some of the cupboards that still need to be done. This small cupboard was built separate from the rest, and it made of plywood instead of pine, but a little bit of paint should be able to fix it right up!
Stay tuned for the outcome of the plywood cupboards and countertop 🙂 This is tonight project
